It's been a while - fandom stuff
JUST GOT MY MAGI TANKS IN THE MAIL ♥_♥
Look at theeeeem, don't they make such a pretty rainbow? They're going to look SO HOT in my bookshelf haha. Apparently vol. 9 came out 5 days ago, but I can just get it later along with vol 1-3. To be honest, I'd prefer not to buy them since it's pretty impractical for me (financially and morally), but I really have a hard time reading scans... or just online stuff in general, which is why I usually have all my school stuff printed out no matter how long they are v_v. Also these books are relatively cheaper than, say, Naruto tanks since it's a relatively unknown series outside of Japan.

Soooo.... Kingdom Hearts.
I'm nearly done KH2! Just gotta fight Xemnas' 2nd-6th forms. I was more afraid of Saix than Xemnas actually (I can't take Mansex seriously), but Saix was much easier than expected... more manageable than the Berserker nobodies. I didn't find Demyx difficult at all, except for his 10-second clone thing. I think I had the most problem with Xaldin over all. Now I want to get Final Mix for the extra Org battles because they look BRUTAL.
Anyway, I can't seem to stop reading AkuRoku fics even though I find most of them slightly OOC (or maybe that's just my bias talking). fic!Roxas is generally okay, except the ones where he's portrayed as laid back, because that guy is definitely Mr. Frowny-face most of the time. fic!Axel is, imho, more likely to get OOC. It seems many authors either forget that he's got a sly and asshole-ish side, or forgets that he's not a total asshole. Though if I had to pick, I'd choose the total asshole characterization simply because Axel is really not a nice guy most of the time.
And fic!Sora... oh boy. Yes, Sora is ~genki~, but it's in a very "typically boyish" kind of way. He is most definitely NOT the kind of person to sit down and talk about his (or Roxas') ~feelings~, because he's the type to charge into a battle without a second thought. Not to mention in KHII he was pretty douche-y. The boy's very emotional but he doesn't waste time thinking on them. So why is he suddenly a mother hen in all these fics?
I'm somewhat irritated by these characterizations, but on the other hand I can definitely see why authors would write them this way. Standard for fandom.
Anyway I'm aware KH is such an archaic fandom, but as soon as KH3 comes out (lawl) it won't be! I guess Birth by Sleep is not that old, but I honestly can't ship Ventus with anyone, not even Vanitas because selfcest is not my thing, and Terra/Aqua kind of ruins the relationship since I see them more as brother/sister.
