My friend jjmarika pointed out to me that I could just edit my avatar to add improvements and eliminate imperfections. So without further ado, the new Zephyr icon:
I gave up the first time I tried to make a Zephyr. Then last night I just had this *need* to defeat the generator and make one. It took me forever to get even close to happy.
JJ pointed out that I could just edit it with something as simple as Windows Paint, a fact that should have been blatantly obvious to me. Unfortunately my brain doesn't work well after midnight, which is when I finished the first draft.
I had to edit the skin color on the hands and face and then I decided to create a lightning aura around the hand and put in a lightning bolt. It's really quite doable if you blow the image up 800 times before playing with the pixels. :-)
There's a spiffy little tool at http://www.tektek.org/dream/. It's somewhat self-explanatory, but the choices go on forever, so if you don't see what you like, keep going. When you're done, you can save the results to your computer.
There are no good options for anything but the base human skin colors. I ended up editing the hands and face using Windows Paint. It's pretty basic, but as you can see, I added in a bolt of lightning with it from scratch.
After all the time I spent on it, you want me to actually *use* it? ;-)
And thanks, both for the advice and the compliment. Yeah, I think I will use it for Madrigal related posts. Now if I can just get a decent Kumir out of it for NERO related posts.
You know, if you were truly as OCD as I think you are, you too could edit your OMI icon and get more and longer braids.

I tried to make a Liam icon, and failed pretty miserably. No surprise - I didn't expect to be able to duplicate him there.
But that's an awesome Zephyr!
