The annoying, the gross, and the life-threatening

Yes, yes, that's right. In one trip to the vet, all of those things were achieved. First, for the annoying: the cat could not be fixed today, so we could have just taken a free ride from someone on Saturday. Next, the gross: she couldn't be fixed, in part, because she is FULL OF ROUNDWORMS! EWEWEWEWEW!!! In humans, roundworms cause BLINDNESS!! They get lost in you, crawl into your eye, and die. And in cats, well, they're just digusting, spaghetti-sized worms. Feel free to vomit at any time. Now, the life-threatening: on the way back, the kitten was flipping out in her cardboard spca carrier, which was in the backseat. Suddenly, while I am on the highway, there's the kitten in the front seat, leaping to be by my feet. So I have to exit prematurely, kick her off of the brake pedal...luckily, there was a red light after the exit, so I managed to shove her back in her carrier. She got out 2 more times, and I had to drive back to the apartment one-handed, holding her carrier shut with my right hand.

In summary: I am not taking her alone next time, and she is going to have to get a new cat carrier.
