Umm, please try to be a _little_ objective: the asshats who are pushing the "london fetish weekend" _stole_ the event from Skin Two. Obviously, there was a massive falling out, but why deliberately target the same dates that the Rubber Ball has been on for the past mumble-mumble years? They could (and IMHO should) have picked a different time of year, most obviously the TG Birthday Weekend, which lacks a fair. So rather than be positive and add value to the community, they decided to detract from an existing event out of their own sense of miff-dom ( ... )

oh yes, i know that it's all asshat-o-rama
i'm just working for TG in the end - who are doing both weekends.

i did support the S2 weekend last year and told Tim i would not be supporting the other. not sure what i gained from doing so.

as far as the fetish model remark, that's in reference to an email where i was being discussed and derisively blown off as a 'pin-up' model in latex and not a 'real' fetishist.

somewhere in there an offer to buy advertising space was declined.
we were then directed to do business with marquis instead.

I should have acknowledged that it's all moot for you anyway, since the dates of the RB was (as used to be traditional) announced very late for those of us who travel, and you already had plans for September. But it's how you can tell that the authentic RB is back: the announcements are, umm, late.

There's no question that there's dumbness a-plenty in all possible "camps" in these "rival event" pissing contests. It's just bloody annoying for those of us (including you, obviously) who want _all_ well-founded events to have a place.

And, yeah, the Mrs. changed my ID.

How long are you going to be in the sane part of Ca (and when)? Maybe we should see if asiatic meat-cooking thing is still tasty...?

that 'cult of model' thing had gotten quite excessive. i think it may have very well started to even have an effect on the events themselves (where special VIP areas allowed models and their friends to hang out in the same close knit groups while the masses were denied entry to the "upper eschelons")

as someone that is dependent on a fanbase when it comes to generating income from a single model website, i know that snubbing one person might have quite a negative impact.

hmm, i was about to say something about fetish fashion and tear sheets and featuring new designs and techniques but that all got deleted. and it's quite a moot point with the sporadic releases of the mag and well, there is that internet thing. (unless of course, people decide it's worth holding back content for print publication)
