a tg recap

Jun 07, 2007 00:21

on Myspace, the TG crew have posted their recap of the birthday event - ups and downs, highlights, etc.

there was also a part about our (midori, amrita, myself) show. This makes me very happy. and maybe i'm on the right track for thinking up such show ideas, but sometimes i think i'm aiming too high because what i have in mind usually takes someone who can understand my disjointed rants and blatherings (fd_midori) to translate so that others can comprehend what i'm talking about. oh, and unfortunately, some of the ideas also require a decent budget. :/

The Shows

Unfortunately, we were so busy this year we missed most of the shows. But from the shows we did see, and based on reliable feedback and photos, here's what we liked most:

Midori, Kumi, Amrita's Japanese Installation Performance was the most ambitious and visually spectacular performance of the evening, unfolding over 1.5 hours on 3 beautiful stage sets and creating stunning images. Thanx to John Blake for decorating the stage sets. Check out the great photos.

i'm guessing this is probably posted on the www.torturegarden.com site
but at the moment it's not coming up.

---

i can't wait to devise a way to perform this show in a more complete and all-encompassing version that would feature FIVE stages (5 elements: earth, water, fire, wood, metal).
hopefully, someday someone will have the appropriate budget available for this.
