Is it worth going to the Rubber Ball on Saturday around 2 to 3 am?

depends

are you really going to pay full ticket price?
how much is transpo to get there? (no tube so ur cabbin right?)
then the cab home...

it depends on the shows that are happing after you arrive if you're into that kinda thing.

if you were in the states, then i might say 'no' directly, but for RB, it could still have some oomph in it.

not sure though. i'd have to see the line up n stuff still!

We'll be watching Royal Shakespeare Company plays the week leading up to it, and the last play we are seeing is on the Saturday of the Skin Two weekend. We're going to go to the expo and wrap-up on Sunday. We could make it into London with time to check-in at a hotel, get dressed, and get there for the last few hours of the ball, but never having been I don't know if it will be dead by then or if we'll still be able to to have a good time and meet some cool people.

Paying for everything is not anything we worry about, but I am thinking this may be the last time (and the first) we'd be able to go in the next ten years.

We used to hit some places locally, but then I had a kid so we have not been anywhere fetishy.

If you're around we could get a drink or something-- we'll be in the London area the week following before we head to Italy for two weeks and then Ireland for a week. :)

Yay, time! I'll shoot you an e-mail when things get closer or call if I have a number. I am traveling a bit starting the end of August and don't stop until mid-November.

We will be shooting to get into the RB then. Yay! We will try TG too, we'll be there that Sunday (but not the next because we'll be in Ireland to catch a flight to Rome).

RSC is having a year of Shakespeare festival in Stratford-upon-Avon (which, if I am correct, is a two hour drive from London) and it is showing all the works of Shakespeare from 2006 to 2007. They have their full schedule up online, we'll be going to see (October 2nd through the 7th) The Tempest (staring Patrick Stewart), King John, Henry VI (Parts 1, 2, & 3), Romeo & Juliet (staring the young FBI agent from Hellboy), Antony & Cleopatra (again staring Patrick Stewart), Much Ado About Nothing, and Julius Caesar. We're coming back in March (2007) to see Ian McKellen in King Lear. After the RB we'll be seeing Spamalot (with Tim Curry) in London proper.

i usually get a plus or 2 as well, and often no ( ... )
