So, yesterday was Seattle's
HRC fundraiser
"The Bowled and the Beautiful" at Leiani Lanes. The turnout was excellent, and fun was had all 'round (though the DJ playing tunes from Mary Poppins was a bit discerning). Jay and Steve invited Dave, Bob and myself along as cheerleaders. Our lanes were filled with bowling bears and microsofties from work. We had a good time, even without doing any bowling ourselves. We'd met a great bunch of guys, and went to dinner afterward. Once we'd finished steaming bowls of excellent Hot & Sour Soup, followed with heaping plates of Mongolian Beef and General Tso's Chicken, we were off to mingle with Seattle's fur contingent.
Then we all made an appearance at CC Attle's, the local watering hole and hangout for the
Northwest Bears (and for some reason this weekend, a vast number of sight-seeing straight women). It was really packed, and since Jay got there first, and dropped me off while he began the parking search - I got to enjoy the attention of bears that thought I was alone. I'm not a tease, but I like it when guys buy me a beer and throw their arms over my shoulder to chat me up. My highpoint of the evening was two big red furry mansters simultaneously chewing and scrubbing their beards against my neck and ears (after I'd coyly admitted it was a weak point). They bet me a round that they could get me er, aroused... in 30 seconds or less. I gladly paid for their beer.
We'd done pizza at Pegasus the night before, and some attempts at getting some skyline shots of the city. So it was a pretty busy weekend for us.
Spring Thaw is coming up - and we're getting psyched for the Northwest Bears' big end of winter romp.
Daxcub has said he'll be attending this year - so it should be even more fun than last.
Peace Love and Equality!
