Still Coughing
I'm still trying to hack up my lungs. I've coughed so much that if I do it just right I can make my whole body ache. Not sure if I should consider that an achievement or not but at this point I'll take what I can get.
Schools back in session around here (at least there are a lot of cars at the high school this morning). Which means this Friday is the official start of the football season. I have no idea if I'll go to the first home game. I'd like to because you end up seeing everyone you haven't seen in years. I think the first home game isn't until next week (they opened at home last year) so I'll see how I feel and what money I have.
I like to think that I'm still learning things (be it picking up technical knowledge of the "next big thing" in computing or learning from my mistakes). That said...things done in haste can be horrible decisions. I know I said in an earlier post that I was canning the computer biz but the longer I thought about it I determined I just needed a little time away from it. I of all people should know that stupid things are going to happen. I really need to learn to deal with all the crap that is floating around. If they're paying me who am I to judge. The money's still green. I've still got a lot of work to do to get organized and things in order. I can't even find the top of my desk right now. Before I try to go too much farther i should clean up a little. For now I'm just not going to publicize that I'm doing computer work. What comes my way now will be fine, as long as it doesn't pile up.
I think that about sums it up. I needed to get that though out of my brain and on paper (or in this case on the screen).
Now it's off to the store to buy tea and cough medicine.
