Intervention is not just a show...

Ya know, when watching the show Intervention on A&E, I sometimes watch how family members and friends keep on letting the one who they care about keep destroying themselves with the drug of choice they are using. They beat thier heads over and over about the situation and yet they continue to support thier dangerous actions.
I'm living with someone who is addicted to codine. Buys them off a mutual friend of ours and I watch helpless. Not to mention he's got cancer and god knows as many pills he's taking dosent help.
So instead of thinking how stupid the people on TV are and being so matter of fact about what I'd do if I was in thier situation. I think I need to take a good look at myself because here I am.
