it's christmas (the end of it.) happy christmas (although it already happened.)

i got a new camera and i've been taking crazy amounts of photos with it. i'll add more fun and spectacular content to my normal everyday livejournal now, at the cost of ads.

all in all, it was a good christmas for me. i woke up with a start to ms. lori nudging my shoulder. i remember distinctly thinking "there should'nt be anybody nudging me to wake up. how dare them." but my groggy malaise soon turned into determined attentiveness as the kids came in and went "OOOOH LOOK AT ALL THE PRESENTS!" i was designated as the official gift-hander-outer and as such was completely unable to keep up with the demand in the little micro-economy of the chenoweth household.

i got nick and cameron one of those robo-sapien robots that walks and does stuff and dances and they played with that until the first set of batteries wore out. it was raining so we could'nt play with their new nerf dart tag. (although i wanted to.)

the night before i watched, for the first time in my life, the movie "it's a wonderful life". everybody was flabbergasted at the fact that i had never before seen it. indeed, it's a spectacular movie, and i regret not having seen it before hand. the whole experience, though, makes me wonder if there are some other even further obvious things that i have never been exposed to? what if there is in the english lexicon a word so grammatically common as those such as "the", "of", "and", and 'oboe-shoes" that i have by sheer calculational coincidence never heard? what if people use a word like "frup" every day and don't think twice about it while i've never heard of it? what if there is a common type of fruit that has coincidentally never been in stock in any of the groceries i've ever been into? what if there is currently a bull market for "kludgefruit"?

these pointless thoughts aside, i shall be soon uploading an ass of photos. they are all going under oh, tannenbaum~, as they are all christmassed out.

rgb sleeps in the oddest positions.

people need to drop foolish ideas like socio-environmental responsibility. if a naked person walks down the street, and is fat, he deserves what he gets from people. i say this as a fat person who likes to be naked. (although not as fat anymore.)

i believe i have a natural tendency to create nuance in my dreams that is not likely to be created in real life. this leads to slight disappointment almost all the time. it is quickly turned, however, by intrigue at the actual nuance.

after family dinner at 1:00 p.m. we went to see my hospitalized grandmother, who is doing much better but still, to be quite honest, seems quite out of sorts. it's almost as though she is constantly confused, even though she understands what's going on. it's hard to say, but one kind of feels an eerie displacement in her tone and facial expression.

apres ca, we went to dad's bar, which dad closes down on christmas and uses as a toy test bed with the kids and the whole family. karaoke is also sung. i sung lots of queen, and i bombed "somebody to love" like hiroshima-whoa. i sang jingle bells with cameron (the younger of my two brothers) and the only accompaniment i could get was "HEY!" after "one horse open sleigh" max came also, and we drank some killians. father no longer carries guinness, and for that i have taken to the cold practice of calling him "father" instead of "dad" or "pops" or "papa-tousan" or "phil donahue"

during our stay at the closed/family ruled bar, a friend i have'nt seen in a while (kee) calls and says he's back in town. he's been away at boot-camp for the air-force reserves. kee, max and i go to the most wonderful slab of bricks, mortar, and hashbrowns known to man, waffle house. there we sit, discuss, joke, and plan the wyse terminal's incorporation into the hive-mind. fun was had by all.

after that, home, and writing this.

a good christmas, to be sure.

please look again, as the picture gallery is now bigger and carries more fuel for a longer range.
