Post-Thanksgiving

Nov 29, 2010 11:35

So I survived the Thanksgiving break with my family in E. TN. It was over all a good time, but the present I am working on for Danny for X-mas had some major issues and so my dad is going to be working on correcting it between now and when I head there for the holiday. Sigh. The German restaurant that Luke took me to was amazing. 5 course meals are not something you get very often, but it was all amazing food so it was totally worth it. And watching the lady try and drink a "boot of beer" was very entertaining as well.  :)

Black Friday shopping was a success as well. The big finds for the day were the 1 TB external hard drive for $49, the flipping waffle maker for $9.98 and the new duvet comforter for $29.  I also bought some other items of course, like new pillow and such, but those were my jump up and down finds.

This week is going to be busy. Tomorrow is the Collierville tree lighting after work, Wed. we are going to Bosco's for dinner so that Danny can get his 2010 mug and break out the 2011 mug, Thur. evening is bowling night with Liz and Rob and Friday Charlie and Daddy are coming to town. And then, Saturday, is the BIG DAY. Race Day. EEP! It'll be ok though. I'm slow, and I know I'm slow, so I'm not planning on breaking any crazy personal records or anything. I just plan on FINISHING.

So, Saturday morning, while you're nice and snug at home, be thinking of me running the streets of Memphis freezing my butt off. LOL
