...losing my mind?
ok...so in order for the following to be funny, you need a few things:
1) you must be familliar with the commercials for Jared Jewelers, which have coined the phrase "He went to Jareds!" which is generally whispered in an awed and hushed tone while traveling around a room.
2) you must know that "Jerry's" is the produce Market near my house, where we do most of our fruit and veggie shopping.
3) you need to be me....
So mom, tom, and i are making an effort to actually prepare nice meals on the nights when all three of us can gather for dinner. its going well. i went through a recipe book today and marked things i want to make.
but anyway...in the course of cooking last night Mom was talking about some veggies she had bought for dinner last night and tonight.
Mom:..."so i went to Jerry's and picked up some, etc..."
Me, leaning over to Tom and whispering in an awed and hushed voice: "She went to Jerry's!"
I literally cracked myself up harder then i think i ever have in my life. i laid my head down on the dishwasher and proceeded to laugh my ass off for the next 3 minutes. Meanwhile Tom gets it but doens't find it quite as funny as me, and mom...well mom didn't get it...but i swear to god it was the funniest 3 minutes of the year.
