Here's a meme I got a few days ago, but am only just now managing to do!

Leave a comment saying, "COMMENT" and I will give you five words I associate with you. Then post about what they mean to you, along with this, at your journal.

atelierjoh gave me these:

Billy Lee Black
Persona

(yes this is somehow a word)
Lost Odyssey
Tommy heavenly6

Billy Lee Black
If you've known me any reasonable length of time you probably know more than you ever wanted to about this, BUT if you don't here's a really epic/lame story. When I was about 13, I got a Playstation, and one of the first games I got was this weird thing called Xenogears. It looked cool from the description on the case, and it had robots and 20 MINUTES OF ANIME CUTSCENES?! (yes, this was a selling point.) Innocently, I placed it into my console and thus began one of the greatest love affairs of my short life. It started out rocky, as I got stuck at the Shevat generator battles and quit for a few months only to start over later, as I had forgotten half the convoluted plot, but that second try was truly magical. It was then I truly began to appreciate the virginal priest boy, Billy Lee Black. Don't ask me why, I don't really know, but he was just so cute and innocent and yet so JADED AND ANGSTY and his dad is a drunkard and his sister is mute and HIS MOM IS DEAD and he's Catholic and THE PRIESTS RAPE CHILDRENNNNNN and he flies a giant robot and HE HAS A MILLION GUNS IN HIS CLOAK. AND HE SHOOTS THINGS AND SAYS "YEAH!" It's amazing. Truly. (If you haven't played Xenogears, imagine Edgeworth from Phoenix Wright, and that's an older lawyer version of Billy) This obsession would go on to spawn the only website I've bothered to maintain for a decent length of time, but that I haven't updated in forever because I hate the layout but can't come up with a new one. I also have amassed a giant collection of all the non-yaoi Xenogears doujinshi and books I could find on the internets. In recent years my affections have been turned to newer characters, and it's kind of creepy that he's perpetually 16 and I'm now a pedophile, but although new games come and go, there will always be my One True Love Xenogears and its most kawaii character Billy desu~ And after reading this, how can anyone be surprised that my newest favorite character is an innocent virginal templar? I SMELL A PATTERN!

On a related note, my Billy keychain lost a foot the other day. I have no idea where it broke off, and I am very sad. :'(

Persona
OH MEGATEN. I liked you before everyone played Persona 3 and flipped their shit over Social Links... but I digress. I really do love the Persona series, recent fansplosions notwithstanding. (No offense but I mostly tend to hate fandoms because of annoying people, except Xenogears and Dragon Age. They're fucking cool as shit) My first Megaten experience was Nocturne, and I was immediately hooked. As for Persona, I first played Persona 2: EP after finding it at a Gamestop totally randomly. I had to borrow money to buy it, but it was worth it. I love 2 the most, because it's the most mature IMO. Even IS, which was half high school kids, still had a couple of adults in there, and EP was an entire cast of 20 or 30 somethings?! (Except Tatsuya, but I forgive him because he acts like he's 45) The characters are great, and although it does show its age nowadays with the game mechanics, you can't not love a game where you can beat up Nazis. It's worked for every WWII game so far! Oh and I cosplay Maya. lolll. 8D

I LOVE SILENT HILL and its crazy characters and clunky gameplay and cults and holes (they're gone now) and the ENVIRONMENTS and the LORE and UFO endings and PH!rapetime and Robbie the rabbit. He loves children, as you can see. It's kinda gone wacky since the movie, and Akira Yamaoka left Konami :(( but he's now working with the head guy from Resident Evil on a new horror game which will probably be explosions of awesome. I can only hope. Until then, I'll be looking for my wife.

Lost Odyssey
It had been a long time since I played a traditional JRPG that I really loved. I was getting tired of this shit. tri-Ace was dropping the ball on me, FFXIII took a billion years to come out and I'm still not all that excited, and I had yet to come across a game that made my Xbox 360 worth buying, until I started playing this. Holy shit. I loved it. Of course, half the internet strongly disagrees and finds it boring, but FUCK THEM because yes, it's extremely old school, but that's why I love it. That and fucking Jansen. Well, all the characters really. The villain was pretty predictable, but you don't even care about him anyway, you just want to see more of Kaim's dreams, and Jansen being Jansen, and Cooke kicking him in the leg, and Seth rolling her eyes, and Sed looking at Tolten like a pedophile... well maybe the last part didn't happen. Mistwalker really impressed me, and now I'm just going to cry that their new game is going to be for the Wii and I don't have one. So is Monolith Soft's new game, which is called... Xenoblade?? DON'T TEASE US LIKE THAT. IT'S NOT NICE.

Tommy heavenly6
I was kinda surprised at this one, lol. But I do have an icon of her! Tomoko Kawase (of the brilliant green) has two really different solo projects. I like both heavenly6, her rock persona, and february6, her cracky pop persona. (For kids who watch animu, she did the second opening for Soul Eater and the first one for Gintama as heavenly6, and the Paradise Kiss opening as february6) I can't pick a favorite :Q Haven't heard much from her in a while though. I didn't really like her last heavenly6 album because it was kind of boring. I'm hoping for some new february6, or more old school heavenly6.

Well that was entertaining and informative, I'm sure.
