So, tonight was bomb. I went to my uncle's 80th bday and got to see some cousins I haven't seen in like a year. At first, it was kinda weird 'cuz there was all these people I didn't know, but it got better. The food was good and the people at my table were hilarious, probably because they were (getting) drunk. i was cracking up the whole time. Also, we had my favorite cake. you haven't tasted cake until you've had Paradise cake from King's Hawaiian Bakery.I'm not a big fan of cake, but I'm pretty sure that if you left me with a half sheet, I could eat it all - except for the icing (icing is icky!). It's light and fluffy and you don't feel like a complete pig for eating a slice after a meal. It's the perfect blend of lime, lilikoi (passionfruit), and guava. Mmmmm. It's sooo good!
Anyhow, "Twilight" was brought up and one of my two cousins (whom I was sitting next two) hadn't seen it yet. So I flippantly suggested that we go see the movie after the party (hey I was chillin' with old people so they go to bed early). That casual remark ended in me going to see the 10 o'clock showing of "Twilight" at the local theatre. I was surprised to find the theatre mostly empty. I was expecting a bigger turn-out than "Harry Potter". I saw those the week after they came out and it was PACKED. Not so for the Twilight fandom. We could have gotten prime seats, but my cousins has this weird thing about not sitting in the middle, also she's a talker and HYPER (24/7). The movie, from my perspective, was better than the book. Then again, I'm not a huge fan, so can't really talk... I was disappointed there wasn't more Alice (who is played by the GORGEOUS Ashley Greene). *points to icon* I loved every minute she was on screen though. One of my favorite parts was the baseball scene b/c Alice's shots were super cool. I thought that the movie, by itself, was good. The camera angles they used were unusual, but in a good way and the parts without talking didn't come off awkward (except in the beginning when Edward was STARING at BELLA - he looked like a retard). The acting was really good. Robert Pattison made a convincing vampire. I thought he portrayed Edward's struggle superbly. Kristen Stewart actually made me like Bella - a bit, just a bit. I also love Alice a little more, if that's at all possible. :D
"Oh, you do smell good!" ROFL!
twilight,
party all the time
