Of books and paint and potatoes

Belated update on my doings:
Last Saturday I finally managed to move out the 12 (yes, there was an even dozen of them!) boxes of Soviet era books I have thinned out from the shelves of our house. The sad thing is... the difference, although hard on my neck and shoulders, does not show at all. The shelves were packed with 2 rows of books, and now in some the second row is gone but there is hardly any visual difference. And it makes me sad. But anyhow, the books.
WurstKittyMistress came to be my chauffeur, and though the pile of boxes looked enormous, his Honda has a big belly, and they ALL fit into the booth. With some wriggling perhaps even 2 more would have fit but oh dear, that is one good car.
The day before I had talked also to roadwaffle about the blue hair dye I have had for a while and which one of her friends had not seen on market for some time. Since I am not planning to dye my hair blue in the foreseeable future, I offered my half bottle to that friend. Who fortunately works in the next building of the place that takes the books for recycling. So the bottle of blue paint went to my bag.
Then there is the overflow of potatoes we have (how that happened, read older posts). OurLady, who has now been at home, asked me the week before, if I and her mother met in the regards of I giving the woman some potatoes. We had, in fact, not met, as the plan was blown out of the water by a) OurLady breaking her humerus, and b) I falling ill with a cough and a cold. Now, being a manipulative bastard, I paid for the delivery service to WurstKittyMistress with a goodly bag of free potatoes (and some herring to her mother) and asked if she would be so nice and put me on some bus stop with my huge bag on rollers that was brimming with the selfsame potatoes and again, some herring (OurLady's mother is also into that. Must be a generation thing).
WKM laughed then, and told me that she would be wickedly delighted to roll in front of the house of OL, just to see her face. Which we did. Because, hey, if I do not have to haul big HEAVY bag around, the better. And all of the deliveries went pretty damn well as far as I know. Only, damn, the boxes were heavy and I got a tension headache which dissipated only on Sunday after I had taken a painkiller. So now I am recuperating from the delivery thing, still. I felt very good directly after, the rush and adrenaline etc, but then... it was a bit miffing to see that despite the huge amount the room does not look much different. And there are still shelves that are completely untouched. Brrr. But... I am working on the cleaning out aspect. I am.

venting, clean house
