Those who have read my recent comments/answers, know that my Bossette went to a check-up to a reknown dermatologist who diagnosed one of her odd red spots on her stomach as a malignant tumor. She was quickly referred to the onco-dermatologist/surgeon whom she visited this very morning.
This did not make my mood better at all. More like paranoid: omg, what will happen to me and my job if she is away (in whatever manner); AND since I have an upcoming dermatologist app myself, I felt sort of shocked (although, statistically I should be better off, right?)
So, today Bossette tells me that there are good news as in: a) it is a 1st stage cancer of a type that grows very slowly anyway, thus no threat to her life; and b) she gets it removed on the 14th of December with a local anesthesia.
All this IS fine and dandy, however, I am getting even more paranoid now:
Her spot had been with her TWO freaking years un-checked and with her age, and this is a stage 1? I am going to get couple of atypical birth marks checked out and one has grown in my opinion, and if they find anything bad there, it means melanoma. The utter killer of the skin cancer lot...
Just... eeeeeeeeep!!! m(_ _)m
