(no subject)
Just wanted to update again, weee!
So today I visited (read: dragged myself to) the MIX academy, the school in Amsterdam I had mentioned in my previous posts. My dad tagged along too, 'cause he was curious.
Okay, so first I was kinda creeped out because the school is located like...ALMOST IN the red light district. The neighbourhood was a little creepy, let's just stick with that. And then suddenly we bumped into something that looked like a store: voila, it was the academy! So it turned out to be really really REALLY small, it has only three classrooms and just one was open today. That really suprised me! First we couldn't get inside because the door was stuck, so my dad knocked on the window and they let us in. We weren't the only visitors so I kinda listened to what the guy told the other visitors instead of drawing the attention to me. The whole classroom was filled with art, it was really nice to see! The collection was very varied and actually impressed me (the art shown on the website wasn't that great). And somehow my dad liked it too, even though he is very picky!
When the visitors left, suddenly the attention of this academy person was directed to me, and OFCOURSE I was shy again. I always am when everyone's looking at me. (*#*(()@*@(! Well, I asked him some questions and he told me a lot about the school and the course itself. And he even spoke about one painting and it's meaning and I interpreted it WELL =D Because when the painting was turned upside down, you could see a reflection of a town in the water, while there was no town to be reflected. So I said: "Hey, that must be a symbol for the past!" and I was right. I think I really scored bonus points with that, LOL.
The school left a really good impression on me. I already called for an appointment to show my work, but they advised me to email. So I did. I am now waiting for a reply~~ Yaaaaay~~
Apart from that, I feel kinda super shitty because...I have a cold and MY PERIOD. Woe is my. Oh yes. Oh, and I still have to finish 'Sense and Sensibility' and I think it's kinda boring. I hope 'Down and Out in Paris and London' (or is it London and Paris?) will be nicer~~ That's it for today!
