Thanks for before and I apologize for making you open old wounds like that. I had noticed before you usually posted death-dates and this is the first I've seen with an actual side-story to it.
I can understand your anger at the kids but they will do that. I'm glad you realize why you didn't react the same way they did and that you're not exactly blaming yourself.
However, I do know a lot of people who mistreat others don't empathize with their victims and that once something as permanent as death happens--something that happens to everyone-- they feel guilty. It's something you can't take back. They become overwhelmed and start moaning all over the place. A lot of the kids at my school were like that, but they didn't really admit it; the bigger guilt lie mainly in how nice Rada was and how awful they were behind his back. That sort of burden doesn't lessen because you can't take it back, you just have to live with it. They cry because that's all they can do.
And then some just over-react for attention or to fit in. My aunt supposedly did that in high school when a friend of my other aunt died. She'd only met that person twice at sleep overs.
Thanks again and, I know it's a dark view on how most people are (a true one), but give a little, just a bit, and try and use it to help them realize why they're doing it. Or stop them. It took a friend to die on me to realize I should be more open with people and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
