He isn't expecting his opponent to be in the stands at all; while he does spot Hibari, he chalks the man up as a spectator who's merely arrived early. With no one making themselves immediately evident, he opts to spend his waiting time warming up, drawing his sword and beginning his self-taught kata.]

Still, he's gratified to see actual weapons. After the ridiculously unbalanced match that was his first round, he's hoping that the presence of physical weapons indicates a more straightforward fight.]

He's not able to move his sword to block the tonfa on its path to his face in time; instead, he blocks with his left arm, gritting his teeth at the weight of the blow. He doesn't think the arm is fractured, but he definitely can't just accept too many blows like that or something will give ( ... )

He backs off for the time being, keeping himself few paces out of Dias's sword's reach. He doesn't like playing the defensive, but he knows that there are people in Mayfield with powers that he is unfamiliar with: better to play it safe for the time being. Besides that, he also needs to take a few moments to try and staunch the bleeding somewhat. ]
