(no subject)
To those celebrating Thanksgiving, Happy Turkey Day! To those who are not, Happy Thursday. I'm in the process of cooking, and hoping it all comes out properly since I'm not in my own kitchen for it. I'm very happy to be where I am, however, with the lovely muggins.
The flight was a bit of an ordeal, but only in the sense that there was a traffic jam for aircraft at Hartsfield, so it was nearly an hour waiting our turn to get off the ground. I was fortunate to be next to Well-behaved children who slept most of the way, which I think I did as well, since I could not get myself in gear and one should not still be packing at 2AM when one has to be at work at 7:30. (anything new about my sleeping habits, or lack thereof?) In any case, I'm here, and life is good.
What am I thankful for? Numbered for convenience, but not in any particular order...
1. My health and the ability to make people's jaws drop the first time they find out how old I really am, for one.
2. The (not so)chibis, who make my life richer every day whether I want to hug them or throttle them.
3. Friends, both those that I have been blessed to have in RL and those Initiates who still haven't given up hope that the Kuiama I was still exists. Y'all are really the best, and I'll never stop saying so.
4. Kittens to dote on me. Yeah, I admit it. I like being spoiled. *ducks and runs*
5. Having my happy little (permanent, not seasonal)government-drone job that makes my mortgage every month. It makes my inner-Schu happy more often than not.
6. The ability to see beauty in every day, whether it has a gorgeous sunset or is bleak, cold, and rainy.
7. The colours green and purple. Just because.
8. To quote Chibermonkey from WAY back in time, "Socks... because they keep my feet warm" I don't think it's a secret that I don't like the cold very much.
9. Oh, yeah... being a Girl Raised in the South...
10... All the other things that I'll think about the second I hit "Post to Kuiama"
On that note, y'all have a great day. I have a turkey to address. I think I should go back and read some of the original posts from yaoi_holidays sometime during the day. *giggles* For the record, I only have about a quarter-NaNo, but I'm happy with what I've done. I'll write more between now and Sunday, definitely, and I think I may actually share this one.
