There were a lot of series I missed out on because of studies during the fall/spring but since my course-work is considerably lighter now that it's summer, I've finally gotten around to watching some of them!
Gurren Lagann: The first half of the series was kind of boring~ It was funny, but it reminded me of pokemon in that every episode had a similar plotline. I really enjoyed the Kamina/Simon interaction though! I loved how their personalities bounced off each other. Once I got around to the second half of the series, I started to understand what all the hype is about. There's a part of me that yearns for a sequel, but at the same time it was wrapped up so nicely that I'm afraid of the direction they would take. I'm definitely going to be watching this again in the future.
Honey & Clover: A slice-of-life series that I couldn't really get into the grove of watching. It has its funny moments, and its characters are very endearing, but I felt like it never went anywhere! There's so much unrequited love/love triangles that never seems to get resolved (at least within the first season). I finished season one, and the first five episodes of the second, but I just can't bring myself to watch anymore. I'd rather be doing something else with my time.
Edit: I finished the second season. Disregard all that was said earlier. I love this show.
Kannagi: I LOVE THIS SHOW, SO MUCH! I loved each and every character and am desperately clinging onto the hope that there is another season coming our way. The story isn't something to write home about, but its characters are so endearing with their quirks that you can't help but tune in for more. It's hard to pick a favorite character since I loved parts of everyone one of them, but I really did enjoy following Jin's story.
