Yeah, I SO fell behind on the posting. And everything else, really. I do much better when I post every day or every other day, and don't let it wait.
So. This is going to be pretty inaccurate for the week. No way am I going to remember what all I did or ate when. But I'll do my best to catch up.
Jan 15 -
Housework:
No idea. I'm guessing not much - probably some dishes, maybe laundry. I doubt I got much more accomplished, as I've been in some sort of 'not doing anything' funk for a week or so.
Myself:
Unknown; nothing likely.
Food:
I have absolutely no idea. I know we had Mexican for dinner (for us, this means burrito-size tortillas, chips, cheese dip [velveta, cheddar, salsa, re-fried beans, taco meat, and sour cream], shredded cheddar, lettuce, sliced olives, diced tomato, re-fried beans, taco meat, salsa, and sour cream is available, and you build what you want). I had one sancho (tortilla with lettuce, cheese dip, cheese, olives, tomato, and meat) and one taco salad (lots of lettuce, meat, cheese, olives, and tomato). I have no idea what I had the rest of the day.
Movement:
Nothing I can think of.
Jan 16 -
Housework:
Nothing. Did some shopping in the morning/afternoon with my little sister (got a new coat; it's nice), and probably did some dishes in the evening. oh, i did a little laundry.
Myself:
Got myself a coat. Was actually looking for one for the Significant Other.
Food:
McDonald's for lunch (nuggets, sweet tea, fries, and a southern style chicken sandwich - it's so close to a Chik-fil-a sandwich, but not quite . . .), and Chinese Chicken for dinner (one-dish thing made with chunks/slices of chicken marinated in dark soy sauce, teriyaki, and sesame oil; cooked with garlic, onion and garlic powder, ground ginger, more soy sauce, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom, golden mushroom, minute rice, and some water). Can't think of anything else right now.
Movement:
Shopping, all over the freaking place.
Jan 17 -
Housework:
Laundry and dishes. lots of laundry, got pretty much caught up.
Myself:
*shrug*
Food:
I really have no idea. we had leftovers and such, because we normally go to the SO's parents' house for dinner on Sundays, but we didn't because his mom wasn't feeling well.
Movement:
Went to the store at 11pm to get chickens to make Chicken Noodle Sludge for SO's mom. Was up until 3am making a double batch of sludge. (it's not as bad as it sounds - take a chicken and a box or big can of chicken broth; combine with a SMALL amount of salt and pepper in a pressure cooker. cook for an hour. the chicken should be falling off the bones when you depressurize - if it's not, re pressurize and cook some more. Make homemade egg noodles - flour, egg, salt, pepper, keep mixing in flour until very elastic, roll out to near-paper thinness, cut into strips. the earlier you make the noodles, the better, so they have some time to dry a bit. Combine broth from pressurizing chicken, chicken meat, and noodles [including the extra flour] and cook until noodles are done. should come out very thick, which is why it's referred to as sludge. traditionally served over mashed potatoes, corn, and green beans.) also likely some running up and down stairs for laundry.
Jan 18 -
Housework:
I really have no idea, and probably not much. If I hadn't gotten as far with the laundry Sunday as i thought i did, then i did the rest of that today. Apparently, according to my receipts, i did some shopping too. Oh! I hung out with John and sorta kept him on track while he packed. We had lunch and stopped by the store for dinner supplies.
Myself:
*shrug*
Food:
McDonalds for lunch (double cheeseburger, fries, sweet tea), a root beer, and goulash for dinner.
Movement:
Not much. I slept kinda late, due to the up-to-3am thing, and then mostly sat around and watched John. and groomed his cat.
Jan 19 -
Housework:
caught up on dishes. think i cleaned the stove too. cleaned out the fridge, and got ALL the trash out.
Myself:
nadda.
Food:
Steak, baked potato, green beans, and crescent rolls for dinner. no idea what else - i'm guessing i probably had some of the chicken soup part of the sludge. i know i had some sometime this week, and i'm pretty sure it wasn't yesterday or today.
Movement:
nadda.
Jan 20 -
Housework:
dishes. dusted the entirety of downstairs thoroughly while watching a West Wing. cleaned the oven and microwave.
Myself:
nadda.
Food:
Peppery pork chops, angel hair pasta roni, beets, and peas for dinner. not sure what else i ate.
Movement:
nadda.
Jan 21 (today!) -
Housework:
Very little - some dishes, some tidying.
Myself:
finally got caught up on this.
Food:
Chili for dinner. not sure what else, other than a tomato (slice, with salt and pepper), and about an inch or an inch and a half of pound cake.
Movement:
very very little.
Other, that I'm not sure when this week happened -
Food:
Had another section of pound cake the same size as the other listed a day or two earlier. Have had some fritos, though not much. Had a small block of Havarti cheese and a little cheddar. I'm fairly certain I have NOT had any fudge, though I'm pretty sure I had half a dozen snowballs.
So. This was my first major fail for the year. Though I may not have been doing a good job, I have been attempting to keep track of what I eat. Ditto with movement, though I'm doing a better job at keeping track of it simply because I don't DO it as much. The record thing though? Clear goal, clear expectation, and I failed.
Took me two weeks to hit that. Not sure if I should be proud of myself, since I don't tend to keep with things that long, or disappointed in myself, because I should be ~better~ than this, dammit!
Regardless, I failed. I compounded on my failure by looking at it, groaning, and putting catching up off. That, right there, is my major problem, and what the entire POINT of doing this is about.
So. Back to work. I'll have a new post tomorrow, and probably Saturday and Sunday too. Absolutely Monday. Just because I failed does not mean I should never try again.
