How much wood would a wood chipper chip if a wood chipper could chip wood

This has been an all around great weekend, but today was especially nice. Now that spring is heremaxemulien and I have a list of household projects nearly as long as an arm, and today we got to mark one off. We've owned a wood chipper for nearly as long as we've owned our house, and we've had a pile of brush to chip for nearly that long as well. Some friends of ours offered to babysit this weekend, so we tackled the brush pile while the babe went to the park. I felt very studly using a loud power tool to shred sticks. Granted our babysitter had to actually start the thing for us, and I couldn't help thinking about the movie Fargo (which mostly meant that I treated the chipper with the respect it deserves.) It was also nice because maxemulien prepped and sorted sticks while I fed the machine. While we couldn't really talk over the noise of the engine, it just felt good to work together. It was neat that we didn't really need to talk to get the job done. I guess after six and a half years together, you don't always need words.

As an extra bonus, the babe had such an exciting day that she missed her afternoon nap, and has now gone down for the night.
