7:47 PM, Alex

It was commencing darkness as we merged onto the superway.

“Actually, we call it a highway here,” informed Jonathan, and the term manufactured very little sense to me; but it is unwise to spleen a person or cause them to make shit of a brick if he is the driver of the car you are in, and especially unwise ( Read more... )

Poor Jonathan. I'll probably end up freaking out when I drive, too -_-;; Still loving this, especially the dream. You write really well.
Where'd you find the audio version of the book?

It's really not that bad. I was incredibly scared at first, but after you get used to it, you start to feel like it's as natural as breathing. The only thing I'm exceptionally bad at is starting and stopping in a way that doesn't cause everyone and everything else in the car lunge forward suddenly ... I kind of zone out ...

Thank you very much! I really love how dreams mean so much and yet can be completely bizarre. I just noticed Word ate some of the commas and added some random HTML junk D:

Amazon.com! Where hobos like me buy stuff used so it's cheap. Well ... hobos in spirit. Listening to it's like watching the movie, except unabridged ... and whoever's doing the reading for the modern-day scenes is really good. I couldn't figure out for a while if it was really just him and not two separate people. The only drawback is that the Trachimbrod sequences are done very weirdly.

Sorry for the randomness of this comment, I just ate ice cream and am watching a shibby movie and am being distracted by it.

Heh, I hope it'll be okay.
I noticed that, too... then I forgot to mention it -_-;;
Maybe I'll get it. Last time I tried listening to a story was with Shoebox Project. It soundly really odd, and I had to stop in the middle of the first chapter.
It's alright. What movie?

I guess the difference is that book recordings are professionally done. The *best* audiobook I've ever listened to was "The Golden Compass," because they had a whole cast.
"James' Journey to Jerusalem." It's about a young African who goes to Israel so he can become pastor of his village. Plenty of people try to take advantage of his helplessness on the way, and he has to work for the man who bailed him out of the border jail to pay him back for it. The people he meets and the stuff that happens to him challenges his ideas of morality.
