There is a meme by debris4spike 's friend, sarian71 , reworded it into a reader's point of view. Here are my answers for the reworded meme.
1) Why do you read fanfic?
I wanted more of my favorite characters after the series ended.
2) When did you read your first fanfic and which fandom was it for?
About two years ago, I had to take time off from work due to hurting my back. I watched the complete series of Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. I really enjoyed it. Spike was my favorite. I notice a site called All About Spike. After reading a few of the stories, I was hooked. I then found fan fiction.net and Live Journal.
3) Which fandoms do you, or have you, read?
At first it was just Spuffy, but now I read about Spangel, Spindsey, and Spander as well.
4) Do you also write fanfics or do you only read?
I tried to write, but found drabble were more my style. So I do drabbles and read.
5) What do you enjoy the most when reading? (dialogue, descriptions, plot, characterizations, humour, angst...)
I enjoy all of these. I am amazed at the talent there is in fan fiction.
6) Which genres do you mainly read? (action, angst, dark, drama, horror, humour...)
I read for a good story, an interesting twist, and it doesn’t have to be a certain genre.
7) Which genres will you not read?
I don’t enjoy certain pairings. If I dislike a pairing in the story, I won’t read it.
8) Is giving reader comments/responses important?
I think it encourages an author if they are given good comments. If I am reading a complete story, I might wait till the end to comment because I don’t want to flood an author’s email. If it is a WIP, I try to leave comments as it is posted.
9) Do you give concrit?
If there is some glaring mistake in wording or something, I leave a comment on it. If something really bothers me in the story, I might send a private message to the author.
10) Which is your favourite character to read fanfic for and why?
Spike is my reason for reading fan fic.
11) Which are your favourite ships (including friendships) that you read the most?
Spuffy is my main ship. I do enjoy reading Spangel, Spindsey, and Spander. I love stories with Spike and Dawn.
12) Do you read WIP's or finished fanfics only?
I love finished stories. I read WIP if the author is good about finishing their stories. Nothing is worse than find a story you love and the author never finishes it.
13) Drabbles, One-shots or Multi-chapters?
A good story is a good story. Doesn’t matter to me if it is short or long.
