Writer's Block: Top Dog

Dec 13, 2008 07:25

I've had lots of dogs over the years. As a kid, we had mutts and they were usually very good dogs.
I have owned many beagles over the years. They are stubbon, but loveable dogs. They are very noisy so not good with neighbors.

In the last few years we adopted Basenjis.  The Basenji is extremely intelligent, independent, alert and affectionate to those he knows and loves. They adore to be with you, being part of the family and think beds are made just for them.

The Basenji is also known as the “Barkless Dog. They are certainly not mute, being capable of all other ‘doggy’ noises plus a delightful yodel or chortle when happy. They can be very vocal. Basenjis have a great sense of humour and will join in any game going. Even when they are old, they will still play.
