Actors and Cons

Lots of fans have never been to a Con.  I've been to a few.
Major ones and a smaller one that is close to where I live.
I've met many actors over the years.  Some are total jerks.
Some are as shy as we are. Some reach out to the fans.
Some are fans like we are. It's fun to watch an actor fanboy
out when meeting a star they love.

Hi there! We've met and seen some wonderful people. It was a great story. Wil is a really down to earth guy. I like that in an actor.

Nathan Fillion is going to be here in May. Tommy is going to that Con. I can't so will have to just enjoy his stories about it.

Are you doing okay now? I haven't seen any posts from you in awhile. I know you had some RL issues and hope you are well now.

I love reading his blog. Yes, the fact that he adores and adopts dogs means a great deal to me. His love for his stepsons really was what impressed me. I raised my stepsons so that was important to me as well.

As you well know Wil Wheaton was my first male fanboy crush.

He just amazes me with how much of a fanboy he still is and what he did for this woman. This is a moment that she will cherish for the rest of her life.

Some of the actors we've met are just there for the money. Some really understand fans. Wil is like that. He really gets how they affect our lives and responds to that.

James loves his fans and cons. James was a fanboy before there was even a term for it. LOL!

I've met a few who really seemed overwhelmed by all of it. Some are total jerks about it. They refuse to even be in the room where the other actors are for autographs. They have to have their own room and you have to pay just to get into the room. Some wander the hallways talking to fans and other have body guards who clear a way for them. I found myself one time walking behind Tom Felton (Draco from HP) as he wandered around with a camera taking pictures. He was really friendly and loves cons now.

He does seem to be genuine about that. Lovely firm handshake, big smile and tries to put you at your ease. I've read of his early spock ears. I was chuffed because I was ahuge Star Trek fan. It came out in oz when I was in grade 7 and I had a scrap book and was totally in love with Spock. Kirk was cute and I liked him too but i was a Spock girl.

Two times I have tried to get into Tom Felton's panel and have ended squeezed in at the door -lol. I have quitre enjoyed the two cons I've been to here though both times I went just to go to James' concert.

I am hoping he is coming back to oz this year but have not heard.

I was just going into high school when Star Trek came out. Spock was my first TV crush. I loved him. Kirk? not so much. LOL!

James tells a story about one Con in Australia years ago, how his then girl friend almost got them kicked out of the country. He laughs about it now. This was before Patricia. Now Patricia keeps him on a short leash. She tends to be jealous of his fans. Can't say I blame her.
