I talked to a Republican friend of mine yesterday, and he said that most Republicans don't even like Romney, they're just voting for him because he's not Obama. I wish the media had paid more attention to Ron Paul. That would have been a Republican candidate to make me question my loyalty to Obama! But yeah. Romney sucks.
His followers scare me so very much. There is a movement to end women's rights and to limit gay rights. They hide behind the Bible. They don't fool me, but many believe it to be the right way. It's a sad time in our history.
One thing is for sure, if this has helped the swing voters turn against him, then GOOD, this man will never be in power and not condemning one half of your entire population!
Problem is his party is backing him still. They say the numbers are true and yada yada. The 47% who don't pay taxes include older who are retired, military overseas, and people who can't find a job due to the way the world is right now. I was one of those for about a year. Between the time I was out of work, I had no income for a year. I was lucky that I had money to live on. I went back to work as soon as I was able.
I pay taxes, but believe me my insurance doesn't not cover my needs. I pay a great deal out of pocket for my doctor bills. I don't get some of the care I need because my insurance doesn't pay for it. My doctor was going to give me a different med, but said the insurance would not allow it. One of my meds is expensive and the company who it comes from helps pay for part of it. Otherwise I would pay almost twice what I do pay for it. And that is after the insurance.
It is a disgrace, but I do have to say when our Nation was No1 in the world we were pretty much the same to our people, so I really can't diss it too much.
