Have you ever harbored homicidal fantasies about a roommate?
I've only had one roommate. Just after I got divorced, I moved into the Dallas area.
My roommate was a woman I had know for years. Our husbands had been in the
same unit in the military. We lived across the road from each other. They got divorced
years before we did. When she found out we were getting divorced, she pressured me
into moving in with her and her twelve year old daughter.
Worse thing I ever did. She bounced checks. She and her daughter wore my clothes.
Nothing I did was ever right in her eyes. She slept around all the time. Found out she
was using my bed to sleep with her ex-husband while their daughter was in the house
since my room had a lock. He was remarried with two younger kids. When I started dating
a guy, she told her daughter I was going to hell because we had sex without being married.
WTF!
I finally got fed up and told her I was moving out. A couple of guys from work moved me in one day.
I found something that was hers so I went back the next day to return it. She had changed the locks.
She took some of my things before I moved out. I never got them back.
Last year, I got a letter from her. It had been over ten years since I moved out. She was working for
an insurance company and found my address in their files. She wrote a letter using their letterhead and
postage. In it she told me I needed to let go of my anger because it was bad for me. She wanted to be
friends again. I threw the letter away. So yeah, I have harbored homicidal fantasies about a roommate
