This is a lovely fic. It's so lush, the details are so true. I think my FAVOURITE part is Brad's memory of that first moment he wanted Nate. 'conscious want' is such a nice phrase. Love it.

I really enjoyed this. There were so many little details throughout the entire thing about things that happened, and what Brad remembers, and it's really lovely. I have a huge soft spot for the stories that discuss what happens when they come back from war, and this really hit it the right way. :) Thank you for sharing!

Excellent: angsty, but not too much, and the day to day narrative is very natural, with an excellent balance between the main characters (Brad and Nate) and the secondary characters (Brad's mom, Ray etc) as well as the original characters. For instance I actually liked Ben - kids, especially OCs, are difficult to use without killing a fanfic with fluff and this has to be one of the very few times when I have seen such a character done well in a way that doesn't draw too much of the reader's attention.

I hope to see more stories from you soon!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad the story worked for you, as well as the characters. I'm glad you liked Ben! :D I didn't want to write too much or too little of him, so I'm glad you feel it was just right.

Unfortunately I'm a slow writer, but I'm participating in yagkyas again this year, so there will be a story from me in about a month and a half. ;)
