Damn, I need to update, yo.
So, I've been working for almost 2 months in the city now and I'm getting comfy in my position. I really like interacting with the participants, who are all pretty awesome old people, lol. One of them is a writer (who I will eventually get a signed copy from) who wants to read my stuff and potentially publish it in the magazine he's involved in. And my first baseline was this really great retired professor, so he eased the nervousness I was developing with starting a new participant for the first time. Doop doop doop, it's good.
Jacleen was in the citay this week and we found ourselves an apartment! It's pretty damn sweet if I do say so myself. At first I was kinda overwhelmed, since Jlee had met with our realtor when I was working and did all the searching by herself. I kinda wish I had been more involved and had seen other options, plus the rent was a bit above my price range, so I was a bit hesitant to send in an application for it. But we did and, strange manager dude aside, got the place! It's on the first floor of a building that's being entirely renovated, brand new everything. And it's rather big for a Manhattan apartment. I'll be moving in August 15, so anyone who wants to help with that PLEASE DO. There will be free beer and pizza, as my mom so urgently stressed so it's not just Dad, Bradder, and myself moving all my crap.
I'll be home this weekend for my dad's Bday and Sarah's graduation party. I desperately need to see The Dark Knight Sunday. I'm going regardless if anyone comes with me, but the option is open for anyone who wants to join!
