Procrastination...

Nov 18, 2008 18:26

Well, as usual I'm actively avoiding work I need to do for tomorrow... so  livejournal post it is.

Classes are still plugging along. I have 2 final papers to work on over thanksgiving break. I have a rough draft due when I get back for Caribbean Women's Literature, so I'll need to finish that, and then I have a 4 page paper for my Philosophy class due the 10th of December. It shouldn't be too hard so I'm kind hoping I can get an outline and a rough draft of that done too. I have a little bit more reading for Class, Status, and Power to do, and a book to read for History. Then that's it. Both those classes have take home finals. Oh, and I have an in class final for Philosophy. That's going to take some hardcore studying.

Even with all the work, however, I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving. Thursday I'm going home for a doctor's appointment, then I'm going to skip classes Friday so I'll be in Boston to go see Jim Gaffigan with my sister that night. I'll come home Sunday night so I can go to class on Tuesday. Josh is driving us back to Melrose Tuesday night and stick around for Thanksgiving. My parents invited his family for the holiday, so that will make for an interesting day. So long as we stay away from the topics of politics and religion I think we'll be okay.

Other than that I'm just trying to stay warm in our apartment. We're trying to keep the heat at a minimum, which right now is about 64. I'm still a smidge cold... but it's better than having and insane gas bill.

Yep, that's about it. My life is pretty mundane. I spent most of it with my nose in a book trying to stay on top of all my classes. Woohoo. Everyone keeps asking me what I'm going to do when I graduate and I have to tell them I have no freakin clue. What's scary though is I really need to get on it. Come january everyone is going to be job hunting. 'Course I'm at a slight disadvantage having no idea where I'm going to be living - thus I'm looking forward to Josh getting a job offer he likes so we know where in the US we'll be living. Right now it could be NY, Chicago, DC, Boston, San Francisco, or Seattle... it's quite a range.

And now i'm off to find a sweatshirt. Cheers!
