What a great thing to wake up to
I come out this morning, proud of myself cuz I woke up at 8:30 (working at 10 today... first day at Market Basket), after working til after 11 last night and going to bed at 2am. I hear my cell beep, there's a message, from Market Basket. Someone had called and said I was supposed to be training EIGHT to two (not 10-2?) Anyway, Mr. L had written 8-2 originally on my training schedule, then scribbled it out and changed them all to 10-2, so I called and explained that, and he came on the phone, and it turns out he just returned from vacation today and couldn't really remember, so just assumed he had said 8 cuz that's my preferred schedule once I'm actually working. So, I'm not in trouble or anything, but it wasn't cool... cuz you know, being late on your first day... real good first impression huh?. Ah well, off to have a quick breakfast and to head in.
