summer, summer, summer time!
Went on a 15 mile bike ride today with my parents....saw a dead fish on the sidewalk... we were kinda close to the river but I'm still confused as to how it got there... only in Saginaw...lol
Today is Father's day so I came home early this afternoon to eat brunch with my family and when I got here they were all done and it was all gone, guess next time I have to tell them I will for sure be there...Got my dad a sappy card and he kinda made fun of me but I think he liked it. My dad and I have never been very verbal with our feelings about each other because we know we love eachother so when we do say something, whether in a card or email its usually a little awkward but it always means a ton to both of us. Hard to explain I guess. I got him a hat from Old Navy and a bright orange dryfit running shirt from Dicks (yes its a sports store, type in "dick's sports" if you are looking online though....I learned that one the hard way... haha!) Anyways we are having a good dinner soon and my grandma is over, I swear shes trying to fatten us up, she brings twinkies, cashews and peanut butter cracker thingies and trys to tell me that they are good for me and that she doesnt want me to starve! haha I have a hard time not making fun of her for that but she doesnt really know any better...
So I'm really looking forward to my 2 weeks off from work. Delphi is a good experience and definately good money but it gets old quick. The jokes that are made and all the teasing and stuff is really getting annoying, specially when I'm so tired all day at work. I cant seem to get my sleep pattern right....my body doesnt want to go to bed before 11 and it definatly doesnt want to get up before 6am. Oh well in the fall I will be back to late nights and late mornning classes so it will be all good then, just another couple months. We are going to Toronto for a 4 day weekend the second weekend of July and I'm really excitred about it. Anyways..so I get the first 2 weeks in July off from work, well most of it. The weekend of the 4th is always interesting with a combination of drinking and fireworks, I'm just thankful every year when everyone makes it out with all their fingers and toes. I really hope we can get to the South Haven fireworks this year, I love laying on the beach and watching the show right above (they light them off of huge boats in the lake). Then my mom, maybe dad and I are going up to Traverse City for a night during the Cherry Fest to shop and bar hop, should be a good time, hopefully I can get a hold of Bull, Ryan, Chris and Steve, but who knows. My mom and I seem to have a pretty good time all by ourselves anyways. Then the big finale, we are all going to Toronto for a 4 day weekend. The hotel is amazing and I've never been there in the summer so it should be great. Maybe I'll get to wear my dress that I couldnt wear this weekend at Scott's grad party cause it was too cold.
Another funny thing: my mom always gives my dog the pans to lick clean and we had scalloped potatoes tonight so she was scraping it with her teeth like she always does, but this time she had her leg in the pan to hold it down so it doesnt get away from her.. smart dog.. I'm sure gonna be a mess when she goes, shes gettin up there in age, I think she's 11 now, been wheezing a lot too, we think its heart failure or something. Ok I better move on to something else before I start crying...
Alright well I think its time for me to say bye, I've written enough to put everyone to sleep by now!
