Cost VS. Convenience

I'm going home for my mother's wedding and to visit everyone from June 3- June 11. I've looked into flying, cheapest ticket being $302 with 2.5 hour layover, next one $315 with no stops. Anyone that knows me knows what a cheap ass I am, I don't know if I can bear to pay that much to save a little time and effort on my part. Granted, I'm sure
