So ... what happens when I spend too much time looking for a Christmas gift for Denise?
I look up my last name on a listing of Scottish Surnames. Naturally.
And then, for kicks, I look up my grandmother's last name. Because my grandparents are as far back as I can get, unfortunately.
And I find they're both derived from the same name. (Assuming they are in any way Scottish, which is actually unlikely, and also would be so far back in my lineage that I'm not sure it would count even if it were true.)
But, anyway, it amused me to look it up.
