I totally want to make cornhusk dolls and somehow did not really think about this until now. *fidgets*
Also. *puts apple cider on her shopping list.*
(Yes, I'm sort of babbling incoherently, but this might make sense to
kaciagemini and
hyacinth_hunter)
*wanders away babbling about cornhusk dolls. And the appropriation of Native American crafts and traditions into her mostly Celtic religion, fuck the what.*
I DON'T WANNA BE AN ANTHROPOLOGIST NO MORE!
Also? I AM GOING RIGHT NOW AND UPLOADING PAGAN ICONS OMG.
OKAY, OKAY I think this was supposed to be a writing icon but I LIKE IT SO THIS POST JUST BECAME A GIP.
I haven't even had any caffeine today.
ETA: Okay, I have found corn husks. And directions on how to make the dolls. I am thinking, we could make the dolls and like, accessorize them so they are some sort of approximation of ourselves, and then we can add things to symbolize wishes for the coming year? I'll have to see what I can dig up in my craft supplies, but I think I've got what we need.
I figure it's a laid back fun activity we can do ... kind of polar opposite of last weekend.
*runs away again*
