"Now we're counting days to getting out..."

We took our sweaters off for the last time ever today…weird. 14 days left.

So after dropping Mike off after school, I pulled back on to 152 only to get stuck at the fire station because the middle school kids wanted to get off their stupid bus. Typical haha. So I was sitting there in my car, blasting Helena aka My Chemical Romance and this group of girls walked by, they were obviously middle school aged, but I'm guessing more specifically 7th graders.  Do you know how long ago that was? For a second in a wicked long time I actually thought about middle school and how weird it is that 4 years ago graduating from 8th grade seemed like such a huge deal.
The girls just reminded me of all of us when we were their age nicknaming crushes, or an art room incident : P and planning outfits and sleepovers for next Y dance haha.  The things we did...god were we insane or what?  I think I was actually involved in more activities in middle school than in high school between gymnastics, dance, theatre, soccer, track, piano, and floor hockey.  Weird...I believe I might have been your typical overachiever at one point in time...imagine that haha. But like I still do every morning, I used to run out of my house at the last minute except then I'd be walking to David's bus stop instead of my own since my stop was a different bus haha.  It was closer, but there was no Missy on that bus, she was on David's (:  Actually, I used to miss the bus a lot too, for some reason my mum would insist on taking me to Missy's stop instead of just bringing me to school...even though she worked there anyways.  There was even a small space of time in middle school, at the end, when I used to wake up on time, and get out of the house on time and loved going to school in the morning, and getting on the bus in the afternoon...oh the things little girls do when they like a boy.  Back then, 'The Loft' (aka Courty's loft in the condo) was our refuge, we'd sit and talk forever...and although there was no island, we had our Mrs. Kipp chats too.
It's just funny how many things change in the sense of maturity to situations...but in all actuality we're the same little girls, only we don't go to Y dances...or have art room incidents.  Haha.  I'm lame.  Who knows, maybe I'll be writing something like this in four years again- talking about high school and thinking about graduating from college.  Now that I'm officially freaked out since time goes by so fast...I'm going to start working on people's graduation presents.

I guess this starts a long list of nostalgic, philosophical, hopeful updates for awhile, but that's fine with me.

They’re catching onto us,

Kait

ps. The nostalgic Star face looks a tad devilish
