Hello
Has it really been since August since I've last updated? Wow.. that's a long time. It's funny, though, because I don't feel like I have that much to update on... but I guess I will.
As far as school is concerned, it's a lot harder than one would imagine. I have 21 darling students in my class. We have had a lot of fun together and hopefully they have learned a lot. When I first started out, I was working from about 6:45 AM until 5 or 5:30 PM. I finally am to the point of working only from 7:15 until 4:00 and sometimes a little later. It has been really busy, but I have finally figured out how to separate work life from home life. I don't bring any work home with me unless I absolutely have to. Teaching is pretty hard.. those of you who are student teaching or about to student teach, it's nothing like student teaching, at least not in elementary education.
Lance and I are doing great. We will be celebrating our one year anniversary in a little over a month. I can't believe how fast time has flown by with us. I can't ask for a more supportive and loving boyfriend. I thank God everyday for having him in my life.
Besides that, I've just been pretty busy lately with work, working out, church events, and the holidays. I really haven't had a free weekend since the middle of October. I really need to get into touch with some people and hang out! I miss a lot of you guys! I hope that some of you will forgive me for not spending so much time with you all lately. It has been really hard trying to balance my first year of teaching and my social life. I have literally felt like school has been my whole life. Recently I've made the decision to not let it rule my life and go and have fun with friends. So.. let's hang out! :)
About a month ago, Lulu was married. I was in her wedding along with some other good friends from college. I had a great time getting to hang out with everyone and see what is going on in everyone's lives. It's amazing how much our lives have all changed in the past year or so. It's crazy to think where we will be in another year from now.
Well, I should probably be doing something productive.
