Sadly today is Monday, which, as we all know, means work. Furthermore, it means payroll week, which means I can't steal little bits of time to sit and covertly write ( Read more... )

So far, so good.

Even with an outline, all writing is essentially pantsing. You need to sti and write. XD

Haha True!

The sitting part I can always do, it's the writing that gets hard. But a structured 'pantsing' is much nicer than winging it ^_~ at least for me hehe.

I'm glad it's working for you. I've spent so much time working on mine that I've been pantsing more outlines than stories (although I did manage to finish a couple of books in there, which will get revised when I get up to them again).. One thing I don't want to do is to come out with trilogy and then end up with a special edition of them and re-numbering when I write a prequel. I've finally reached the starting point, when everything changes, and I've pantsed some of it, but I think I need to sit down and outline at least some of it, beyond minor character bios of the antagonists, ad only a vague idea of my protagonists.

Ahhh yeah, that sounds how I usually tackle things.

Now that I've sat down and done and indepth outline of the story; followed by in-depth character analysis, place description and important things (like a drug which is extremely important to the story)outlines... and then I actually sat and did a step by step plot.

It was really hard to not stop the process and just start writing, but now that I stuck to it before I started, I've found it well worth it.

But you sound like you have a plan - to sit down and at least apply a loose outline (who're we kidding, they're really just loose guidelines lol). Let me know how it goes :D

Thanks. I already made a start on the story, and will probably eventually finish out the scene. It's all in the percolating stages now. (This thing better get written, since it's been growing exponentially backwards, and a bit forwards, since 1993!)
