100 Posts and Beyond

It’s hard to know what to write for your 100th post.

So, I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of days.

The Scribble Muse hasn’t been around for a year yet, so I think I’ll do something big to celebrate the 1 year on July 5th. For today however, I’ll reminisce a little.

The last year has seen many things change for me. My attitude toward writing is one of the biggest. No one will write my books but me. No one can write my stories the way I can. So - the last twelve months saw me knuckling down to pursue what’s really been a life long goal. If I were to simplify the writing process I’ve developed? Just do it

I’ve dived into social media, and sometimes get a little overwhelmed and exhausted by Twitter and Facebook. But I’ve met so many wonderful people and found a fantastic agent (which I still don’t quite believe, but that’s a story for another day).

Crit partnerships have been rekindled and developed, and I’ve found a truly amazing bunch of people who hang around #writemotivation and fling zombies, cheerleaders, and cookies at each other.

Now where else do you get that sort of motivation?

A few of my favourite posts have been:

Kira

Ball Jointed Dolls

Gymnastics

and My hubby

Hubby and I have now been married for five years, and together for almost seven. Time truly does fly when you’re having a ball.

I’ve mostly shared things about my writing journey, but along the way I’ve spattered it with things I truly love. Because those things make up who I am and how I view the world, and my worlds.

So for the next hundred posts I will endeavour to pay tribute to Kuma (the other, much neglected Corgi story), the baby that’ll arrive in November, #writemotivation for as long as anyone needs it, the book that goes on submission this coming week, and the life I have that I love.

Because really? I’m a happy person. Even if writing seems to be at the forefront (and let’s face it, it is), I enjoy a great many things. So I’ll be better about sharing things not directly related to writing (although I assure you there’s likely to be some link - I feel everything links me to my writing).

I guess this is a next 100 posts resolution post

What do you think an appropriate competition/giveaway/celebration is for a blog’s year anniversary? I have no clue. Would love any suggestions!
