So, yeah, we got the place. Yay! I am now officially living in Annerley. My lovely Mum came down and helped me moving the big things the other day, plus Silver Fox helped me on the weekend with the heaving things. 8 station wagon, 1 4wd and 1 trailor load's later I'm practically shifted. Its a very cute older home with a fresh lick of paint and a lot of charm. I spent my first night there last night and found that despite being very close to Venner Rd and next to a block of units, it was far quieter and more serene than my previous house (which had heavy metal music and sitcom DVDs playing through all hours of the day and night). I'm even going to make myself a meal tonight. I started work early this morning so I can go to my old place and clean. I feel a little bad because I had to rush off to running yesterday and didn't get time to reattach the toilet seats to the bowls after I had them. I hope no one fell in the bowl during the night. In some respects I really like cleaning.. I'm fully proud of the sparkling white porcelain and the immaculate rangehood.
So what does this all mean? I'm not living in community, but with only two other people, and they are female. I'm going to start running over the green bridge to come to uni (I think I'll start tomorrow) and I'll finally be able to get fit again and overcome my encroaching stomach flab. I get a fresh start to forming a voluntarily simplistic household. I shall hopefully be hosting a housewarming soon. And I can focus on my PhD, hobbies and spirituality. Hopefully now I'll find time to read and write messages / emails to my favourite peoples overseas (James, Sally and Sarah). Yay!
