I am hereby officially in weekend mode.
I went to oedema management training on Friday and this morning. I'm a spilling over with knowledge right now. It would help if I did some clinical work though.
Anyway, post-Hervey Bay and training, etc. I am now feeling very over-socialised. Hence this afternoon is "Kieran Time". It was most exciting. I did some washing, cleaned the house a little, threw some things in the bin, played my guitar and planted some seeds into my planter box. Could life get any better.
Oh, and TVP (defatted soy protein) is really good. It's $3.50 a bag and you rehydrate it into a soy-based "mince meat". I cooked it up in toasted enchiladas filled with beans and veges and soy cheese and served it with a side salad of mixed greens and toasted pine nuts. I'm happy with my cooking results this week. And I went of to Clare and Richelle's for band on Thursday night and slept over (helped to avoid crossing the river too). Richelle made some extremely yummy BloodTypeA-diet dinner. She is a very good cook. Then we woke up and had porridge in the morning. Mmmm.. I think food is very important in my life.
My current fascination today is with a book idea that
alexxxia had ages ago. She never followed it up, so I guess I will. It's all about living life on a budget in Brisbane with stuff people should know when they leave home for the first time.
I'm very excited about it. So until January I'm going to start doing some research (finding cheap / no cost entertainment, food, travel, etc.) and then from January I'm going to start living those principals for a year. It's going to be great.
So, first things first. I need to buy myself a digital camera. I'm allowed to under the new principles because the camera is needed for work, home projects and leisure, so it's a justifiable resource. So my question for everyone is.. what good value digital camera would you recommend (i.e. lowest cost for a reliable digitial camera with reasonable resolution but doesn't need fancy options)?
