Bier bitte. Danke schon. It's all kind of coming back to me (3 years of German at school that is.
Munich was awesome. The beer hall was a blast, and after about 3 * 1L steins, it was off to a crazy club where it was packed and much fun was had, especially with Contiki girls. The next morning I woke up after a 2 hr sleep and put myself through a hardcore jogging a swim workout to help wear off the alcohol.
Then we made our way down to Venice. Our tour manager was awesome and organised an extra stop for us in Innsbrook, Austria, because we were so on time. Innsbrook is one of the most awesome places aver. Zachertorte (chocolate cake) was definitely a highlight. And beautiful clean streets with a backdrop of snow-capped mountains.
I'm loving our tour group. The are awesome fun and everyone is so easy to get along with. Mostly Americans and Canadians, but I can't hold that against them.
Venice was awesome and romantic. Gondola rides, plenty of shopping, trip to the Accademia (art museum), Venician meal, mask shops. Will have to expand on this all later. It's just so overwhelming. I love it.
Next was on to Lucerne, Switzerland. Most beautiful place ever. I am so learning German and marrying a Swiss person. Perfectly clear river right through town. Amazing architecture. Delicious food. Cable car ride up the mountain. Lake cruise with copious alcohol at sunset.
And then yesterday on to Paris, Eiffel tower and all that. Life is completely crazy and absolutely fun and amazing at the moment. Will need chill time later to reflect. Plus chill time for my wallet.
