Monday, 8:45am: Our maintenance man, David, dropped the TV in the breakfast room trying to take it out of the ceiling mounted holder-thing. I cried I was laughing so hard. He wasn't hurt.
Tuesday, 10:00am: David, the maintenance extrodinaire, is dicking around in rm. 103, a room that has no door handles, just the locking mechanism, and locks himself into the room, and has to wait an hour and a half for the locksmith to come. He watched Scooby Doo while he waited. The entire hotel laughs at him, and offers him food through the small hole in the door where the handle is supposed to be.
Wednesday: David is a pissy bitch because everyone in the hotel, including the guests, are giving him shit for getting locked in a room; it is a wonderful day.
I just finished "Nickle and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By In America" by Barbara Ehrenreich. It was one of the most interesting books I've ever read. It's about the poor working class of America and how they live a life off of minimum wage, or rather, how they struggle to make ends meet every single week. It definitley put my job, and the life I've had growing up, into perspective.
My mom tried to teach me a new crochet stitch, I was horrible at it. She laughed at me, and then started it for me so I wouldn't have to do the hard parts anymore.
