i have enjoyed my two weeks in paris but now i'm super ready to come home. i finally feel confident enough to babble in terrible french in public, i love the guys working in the IT department, and antonio's friend's cousin is super, and she introduced me to her crew of friends and we managed to click. it's great when having a similar sense of humor can reach across cultural and language barriers.
i'm excited to go home to my apartment which i enjoy, and move into my new apartment which i will enjoy even more. david and i will be walking distance from each other, the park, the grocery store, and all our familiar haunts so i'm looking forward to being outside this summer. this may sound pathetic to mostly-optimistic people, but for the first time in my life i possess an inner feeling of comfort, satisfaction, contentment. i'm enjoying my life and i dont mind where i am in all aspects of my life at my age. it greatly helps that i have access to unlimited amounts of alcohol here in the hotel.
if you come to paris, go to the "Bar Panoramique" in the concorde lafayette hotel (metro: porte maillot) and have a drink called "Alliance". it's basically champagne and raspberries. rapture.
edit: antonio is NOT anthony.
