people-watching

Feb 23, 2005 15:04

i was in the airport yesterday, and everybody was staring at me. why? was it because i was carrying a violin, or because i had something really gross hanging out of my nose, or was i bleeding profusely from my leg, or were they just really bored and people-watching, like me? who knows?

there was this really cute guy with a laptop. too bad he was like 25. but i checked--no wedding ring. ::sigh:: i'm pathetic. and there was this other kid with a cello who got to preboard the plane...wussie. please, just because you have to buy an extra seat for it, that doesn't mean that you can't walk down the jetway with everyone else. and, there was this one asian guy who looked a lot like what's-his-face. he kept staring at me from behind...i could feel the eyes on the back of my head. oh, then there was this guy who i'm guessing was about 18, wearing a sweatshirt and a baseball cap, who kept walking back and forth, passing our gate, and every time he would walk by, he would stare, and he would look back over his shoulder even after he passed the gate. in a way it was flattering, but at the same time it was quite creepy. he looked so familiar though, but i can't remember who he looks like, and it is driving me crazy.

when we finally got back to hartford, and i had just walked off the plane, i was trying to juggle my violin and my backpack with one hand, and i basically mowed over a five year old kid. poor guy.

by the way, if you stayed to read this whole thing without falling asleep, i commend you, and i apologize.

thanks guys.
