(no subject)
hi, my name is katie, and i love indulging in the oscars.
some of my personal highlights of the evening:
-jack black, will ferrel and john c riley's trio was hysterical, and yes, helen murin is hot.
-ellen introducing gweneth paltrow: "she has a kid named apple, i like them, she won an oscar, i watched her get it!" mostly the apply part, har har.
-the dance troupe was sooooo cool
-jack nicholson
-any shot of mark walberg (however you spell his name). dude, i didn't realize he was so hot
-departed and pan's labryth winning all sorts of awards
-the humanitarian award winner's dress
-the SOUND EFFECTS CHOIR
-will smith's son and the cute girl from little miss sunshine's presentation
-anne hathaway and emily ...blunt? presenting the award for best costumes. have i mentioned how much i love meryl streep in that movie? "that's all." and "by all means, move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me."
anyway.
my nails are really long right now, and they look damn good (they're all even and not broken...unlike any time in high school when i grew them out). however, they are causing far too many typing errors here, and i'm also slightly repulsed by the mere idea for some reason. ew, why have i ever grown out my nails? op, i just remembered. i'm way too lazy to cut them without prompting. thus the reason they are flourishing so nicely right now.
i have a quiz at 8am i should be studying for. it's worth 5% of my grade and i have only gone to lecture once. and i struggled through the first like 5 pages of notes from online, but it's just not going to happen. i also have my essay portion of my 314 exam tomorrow, which i have only one thought about and need to do some serious reading. HA. i am going to fail LIFE.
and i have a group presentation tuesday. and we have to meet tomorrow night. aaaaand i'm supposed to turn in an annotated bibliography tuesday? riiight. anyway, i want to change my topic, so we'll see what my TA has to say about that. hopefully that'll buy me some time on the annotated bib. plus i'll write a better paper because the topic i want to do now ([de]segregation in schools NOW) is way more interesting [than "authentic assesment"].
so in liu of all of this work, i'm writing an lj entry. i rock.
