My heart should be wildly rejoicing, Oh, what's the matter with me?

I have been in London for exactly three weeks today.  It feels much longer then that.  Maybe its because we have done so much in three weeks.  I have seen five shows and am going to see another one tonight.  Thats one thing that I love about being in the city you can go see a show whenever you feel like it.  We have done lots of trip planning.  This weekend is the Stratford Upon Avon trip, next weekend I go to Belgium and Frankfurt.  We also have trips planned to Amsterdam, Bath and Stonehenge, Dublin, Spain to visit Lily and Steve hopefully and Spring break will be spent in Italy!  And lets not forget the amazing sound of music Austria trip that I am taking with Sally in April!  I am also hoping to get up to Scotland at some point. yay!

My internship is going really well.  I really like my supervisor and the other employees.  Its really exciting working in a casting agency.  I have been to a couple of casting sessions already and met a bunch of cute british actors as.  I have also met a bunch of directors and producers and writers which is really cool.

Class is also going well.  I really like only having one of them.  Its a pretty interesting class though the professor is a little scary at times.  Each week we go on a walking tour of different parts of London.  Last week we went to Westminster Abbey which was actually really cool.  I saw the tomb of Elizabeth I and Bloody Mary and the grave sites of Ben Johnson, Chaucer, Lord Tennyson, Charles Dickens and so many others.  It was really cool.  This week we are heading to the Tower of London which I am very excited about.

I have pretty much adusted to life in the city.  I can get around easily enough and I am not as nervous about walking around by myself.  The weather here is not as bad as everyone always says it is.  I have only used my umbrella twice and it has been pretty warm for the most part.  Our flat is interesting.  It is pretty small but we tend not to be there all that often so it works.   My roomates and I get a long pretty well although 4 of them dont really like my other roomate so its a little akward at times but what can you do.

So anyway, I am generally happy to be here though I do miss home and Ithaca a lot.  I am really glad that Sally is here and that Lily and Steve are within calling distance.

The past three weeks have made me realize how much I rely on other people.  I have always thought of myself as a fairly independent person.  I have always wanted to live in a city and leave home and I was confident that I could handle it.  But I have realized that the only reason I had that confidence was because I was surrounded by people I love  in a place  I felt safe.   Of course this is the  also the way I felt  before going to Ithaca  so I know that it will get better and I will adjust and everything will be fine and before I know it it will be time to come home.
