ScoopsStaley: "Ashlee Simpson collapsed in a elevator yesterday (December 15) after making an appearance on MTV Japan. According to MTV.com, after performing her new song "Boyfriend," she said that she felt ill, and after collapsing, was taken to a hospital. Her father/manager Joe Simpson told MTV that she was still there and on an I.V. Simpson will not appear on Monday's Radio Music Awards."
